$78 Million Texas Lottery Prize Still Unclaimed: Officials Urge Players to Re-Check Their Tickets

A $78 million Lotto Texas jackpot is still unclaimed, and lottery officials are urging players to double-check their tickets before the deadline hits.

The winning numbers from the November 15 drawing were: 7, 17, 23, 28, 39, 48.

The ticket was sold at Gordon’s Bait & Tackle in Brownsville, but the winner hasn’t stepped forward.

Deadline to Claim: May 14, 2026

The winner has 180 days to claim the prize.

If no one comes forward by May 14, 2026, the $78 million expires and is redirected into Texas programs that support schools, veterans, and state initiatives.

How to Claim

Because the prize is over $5 million, the winner must:

Lump Sum or Annuity?

If the winner shows up, they must choose between:

Lump Sum

  • Cash value: $43.6 million before taxes

  • After federal taxes, estimated take-home: about $27.47 million

Annuity

  • Paid over 30 years

  • Total payout equals the full $78 million
