With the cost of living still climbing, New York has announced a new round of relief.
Governor Kathy Hochul confirmed that inflation rebate checks will be mailed to eligible residents in late September 2025.
The program is designed to return part of the sales tax revenue collected during the recent inflation surge, giving families extra support as prices remain high.
Who Qualifies for the Stimulus Payment?
You may be eligible if you:

Filed Form IT-201 (New York State Resident Income Tax Return).

Reported income within the qualifying limits.

Were not claimed as a dependent on someone else’s return.
How Much Will You Get?
Payments are based on income level and filing status:

Up to $75,000 → $200 check

Up to $150,000 → $150 check

Up to $150,000 → $400 check
